Job summary

Proof of the Pudding, an award-winning catering company, seeks Stewards for Mississippi State University venues in Starkville, MS. This seasonal/part-time role supports dish and kitchen operations across stadiums and events year-round.

Responsibilities include dish setup, cleaning, food transport, and inventory assistance. Candidates should have a High School diploma and 1+ year kitchen experience, with ServSafe preferred and a strong team ethic.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of kitchen/steward experience preferred; customer service experience preferred.
• Must be a phenomenal team player.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• The ability to work alone and as a team.
• Self-motivated with a high energy level.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.
• Washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, and cookware.
• Assists in timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintains trash cans and removes full trashcans and boxes as needed.
• Assists with equipment and inventory control, and organization of storage shelves.
• Follows posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Helps run food to food service prep areas.
• Assists in other duties set forth by the chef.
• Performs other related duties as required.
