Job summary

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized evaluation and treatment for children and adults with neurological speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders, following physician referral.

You will establish patient and family centered goals, develop therapy plans, and participate in performance improvement while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at the Farmington Hills campus.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment.
• Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.
• CCC-ASHA certification or Michigan licensure (or temporary license during CFY) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized patient care that assesses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults per physician referral.
• Evaluates referred patients, establishes patient and family centered goals and develops and executes treatment plans to maximize independence.
• Participates in performance improvement and educational opportunities within the department.
