Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy for patients based on medical direction and patient needs. You will educate patients and caregivers and coordinate adaptive equipment when required.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, designing treatment plans, documenting progress, and training other staff. The role supports quality improvement and patient satisfaction within the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree in speech therapy from an accredited program.
• Preferred Master's Degree in speech therapy.
• Preferred Doctorate in speech therapy.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (1 year required).
• MI state licensure to practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation procedures to assess disability levels and creates treatment plans.
• Provides treatment and education to restore maximal function for patients.
• Documents evaluation and treatment per department standards and reimbursement rules.
• Instructs and trains rehabilitation staff, nursing and other medical personnel.
• Participates in process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives, and program development.
