Job summary

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults under physician referral.

You will evaluate patients, set family-centered goals, and develop treatment plans, participate in performance improvement, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Experience with adult and pediatric neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders.
• Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and establish patient and family-centered goals.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans to promote independence in discharge settings.
• Participate in performance improvement and educational opportunities to advance department growth and the profession.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
