Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents. You will collaborate with physicians and families, develop individualized treatment plans, and supervise CFY students. Documentation and compliance with regulations are essential.

Responsibilities include conducting in-services for staff, supporting discharge planning, and promoting patient safety and effective communication across the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Ability to educate families and caregivers on goals and safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve swallow and communication goals.
• Supervise CFY or students in resident care.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with families and physicians.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulations.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff.
