Job summary

KIPP Northern California Public Schools is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to assess, plan, and implement speech-language services for students. You will work within the IEP process, provide diagnostic and remediation strategies, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a busy school environment.

The role includes serving on IEP teams, developing reports, and coordinating with families and educators to meet students' communication and literacy goals.

Qualifications

  • CA credential authorizing service as an SLP or RPE temporary license.
  • Two years of experience preferred; experience with autism spectrum disorders beneficial.
  • Knowledge of CA special education law and ASHA guidelines.
  • Ability to travel within the SF Bay Area with own transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Appraise speech and language needs to design remediation and instructional plans.
  • Analyze assessment results to inform IEP development.
  • Attend and serve as an IEP team member to determine eligibility.
  • Prepare thorough, legally defensible reports in a timely manner.
  • Explain assessment purposes to IEP teams and develop language goals.
  • Develop language and speech activities addressing individual goals.
  • Serve as case manager for speech-only students and coordinate IEP meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support literacy and communication needs.
