Job summary

KIPP Northern California Public Schools is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for 16 hours per week to assess, plan, and implement services for students. The role includes collaboration with SLPAs, CFs, and multidisciplinary teams, with mentorship and CEU support available, and mileage reimbursement for travel within SF Bay Area.

Qualifications

• CA credential or RPE Temporary License required by CA law
• Minimum two years' experience preferred and/or ASD exposure
• Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state special education law and best practices

Responsibilities

• Appraise the speech and language needs of students to design and implement remediation and instructional plans.
• Analyze assessment results to drive instruction and IEP development.
• Attend and serve as a member of the IEP team to determine eligibility of students.
• Prepare thorough, accurate and legally defensible reports in a timely manner.
• Explain the nature and purpose of assessment to IEP team members.
• Assist teams in developing IEPs addressing language and literacy needs.
• Develop instructional activities to meet language and speech goals.
• Ensure progress toward IEP goals and adjust intervention strategies.
• Serve as case manager for speech-only students and coordinate IEP meetings.
