Job summary

KIPP Northern California Public Schools seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to collaborate with service providers, conduct student assessments, and implement language services across our SF Bay Area campuses.

The role offers mentorship from a Speech Language Pathology team lead, bimonthly team consultations, and opportunities to work with multidisciplinary teams. Travel within the SF Bay Area is required; CEU support is provided.

Qualifications

• Supervision of SLPAs preferred.
• CA Credential authorizing SLP or RPE Temporary License.
• Knowledge of CA law and ASHA guidelines for diagnostics.
• Minimum two years of experience preferred and/or ASD experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) preferred.
• Experience with students from underserved areas.

Responsibilities

• Appraise speech and language needs to design remediation plans.
• Analyze assessment results to inform IEP development.
• Attend IEP meetings to determine eligibility.
• Prepare thorough, accurate reports in a timely manner.
• Explain assessment purposes to IEP team members.
• Assist teams in developing IEPs addressing language and literacy needs.
• Develop instructional activities to meet language goals.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust strategies.
• Serve as case manager for speech-only students and coordinate IEP meetings.
• Keep records for state reports and accountability.
