Job summary

Riverside Health System in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to support patients with acute and chronic conditions in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

You will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders, provide rehab and AAC options, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to reach discharge goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience is preferred.
• Virginia licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (VDHP) upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire.
• CCC-SLP certification by ASHA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC support for deaf or hard of hearing individuals.
• Collaborate with family/caregivers and other professionals in training and education.
• Implement and modify treatment plans to maximize benefit and meet discharge criteria.
• Document progress and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
