You will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders, provide aural rehabilitation, and teach AAC strategies.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification required upon hire.
  • VDHP SLP license required upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 30 days (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Provide AAC systems for severe expressive/language disorders.
  • Train and educate family/caregivers and other professionals.
  • Carry out treatment plans and adjust to maximize benefit and meet discharge criteria.
  • Record progress and modify plans of care.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and participate in team meetings.
  • Assist in training and support of team members, volunteers and students.
