Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector in Minneapolis, MN to collect urine and oral fluid specimens and act as the liaison between clinics and the lab. It’s a hands-on role with responsibilities for packaging, data recording, and inventory management, with potential travel between facilities.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, 2+ years of customer service, and proficiency with smartphones/computers, plus a valid

Qualifications

• 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Able to navigate a smartphone and computer reliably.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Familiar with HIPAA, confidentiality and compliance requirements.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Physical ability to sit, walk, stand and lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and lab data.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in the portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
