Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Male Specimen Collector in Waite Park, MN. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, packaging shipments, and serving as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months as a specimen collector or 1+ year in healthcare, with strong customer service skills and proficiency with smartphones and computers. A valid driver's license is required and some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year in the medical field supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience with medical billing/insurance and familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus.
• Must adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance policies and standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as liaison between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and lab information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Travel between facilities may be required.
