Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Specimen Collector in Saint Paul, MN for flexible full- and part-time roles. You will collect urine and oral fluid samples, process and ship them, and serve as the bridge between clinics and our lab.

Candidates should have strong customer service, be comfortable with phones/computers, and maintain patient confidentiality. Ideal applicants have 6+ months experience in specimen collection or 1+ year in healthcare, with 2+ years of CS experience as a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute medical experience
• Proficient with smartphone and computer usage
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with medical codes, billing, and HIPAA/compliance is a plus
• Ability to ensure security and confidentiality policies are followed

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as liaison between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician order details, and lab data
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory on site
• Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens when applicable
• Travel to multiple facilities as required
