Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Male Specimen Collector in Virginia, MN. The role requires observed collections for male patients and involves collecting urine and/or oral fluid specimens, processing and packaging for shipping, and serving as the liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, plus strong customer service and tech skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field, directly supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required.
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
