Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Chandler, AZ seeks a Part Time Special Education Instructor for one-to-one learning with grades 1-12. Hourly pay is $25 and there is a flexible schedule with no outside lesson planning required.

You'll use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and implement accommodations per IEPs for students in ASD/ED/SLD programs. A case manager handles admin work so you can focus on individual student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and Special Education experience are required.
• Patience & empathy to support varied learning needs.
• A heart for teaching and inspiring students to learn.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one using the provided curriculum.
• Adapt accommodations per IEP to support ASD/ED/SLD students.
• Focus on individual student growth with minimal admin duties.

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.
