Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Naperville, IL is seeking a Special Education Teacher with LBS1 to join our one-to-one instruction model. The position offers a flexible schedule and hourly pay ranging $30-$40 per hour, with no lesson planning required.

You will implement the provided curriculum (APEX Learning), adapt accommodations based on IEP, and work with students in ASD/ED/SLD programs. A case manager handles admin tasks so you can focus on the student in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and LBS1 certification.
• Patience and empathy for diverse learners; commitment to individualized support.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to pass fingerprints/background check (AZ, WA, only).

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-to-one, tailoring lessons to individual needs.
• Implement the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) with necessary accommodations per IEP.
• Focus on the student in the classroom; case manager handles administrative duties.

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.
