Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Naperville, IL seeks a Part-Time Special Education Instructor to provide one-to-one learning using the APEX curriculum. You will implement accommodations and modifications per each IEP to help the student succeed.

The ideal candidate has LBS1 certification, a bachelor's degree, and experience with ASD/ED/SLD programs. The role focuses on the individual student with minimal administrative duties, supported by a case manager.

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree and an LBS1 certification
• Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.

• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
