Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part Time Special Education Instructor to join our one-to-one learning model in Illinois. The role emphasizes individualized instruction, adherence to IEP accommodations, and collaboration with a case manager to focus on the student.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and LBS1 certification, with experience in ASD/ED/SLD settings. We offer a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work and a supportive learning environment for both students

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and LBS1 certification required.
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learners.
• G-Suite proficiency and comfortable using LMS.
• Ability to obtain required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one using provided curriculum while adapting to IEP accommodations.
• Focus on the individual in the classroom with support from a case manager.
• Deliver instruction with a gradual release approach to promote mastery.
• Avoid extra administrative work; concentrate on student growth.

Part Time Special Education Instructor

Flexible Schedule | No Lesson Planning or Outside Work | One-to-One Instruction $30-40/hour

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.

Requirements
