Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education I – Resource at Red Mountain High School to support certified teachers in implementing IEPs and assisting students with daily living and academic tasks. This part-time role offers base pay and opportunities for annual performance pay.

The role requires an Associate degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro test, and involves collaboration with teachers to monitor student progress and maintain a positive learning

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro Test is required at hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and reinforce classroom objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintenance of the classroom.
• Assist in the collection of data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Support positive behavior intervention plans and manage disruptions.
• Assist with routine clerical tasks and attendance records.
• Ensure a safe, respectful learning environment and daily supervision.
