Job summary

Central Point School District 6 seeks an Educational Assistant III to support instructional delivery under the Teacher's supervision. You will reinforce learning, assist special needs students, and provide hands‑on guidance for essential life skills in a diverse classroom.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and may require CPI/First Aid training. This is a part‑time position at Jewett Elementary with 5.75 hours per day and 184 days per year.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (waived at district discretion).
• Must have either an Associate degree or two years of post‑high school study or a passing score on the district assessment.
• Must have general knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom activities and reinforce instruction.
• Provide intensive support to special needs students and lead small groups.
• Assist in providing for nutritional, health and communication needs of students.
• Assist in the physical management of students, including lifting and positioning as needed.
• Escort and supervise students in various settings (lunch, PE, library, recess).
• Prepare and maintain instructional materials and student records.
