Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, IN is seeking adjunct faculty in Software Development to teach assigned courses each semester. You will prepare syllabi, deliver instruction, track attendance and grades, and provide support to students outside class time.

You will follow the program's approved syllabi and collaborate with the program coordinator and department chair as needed. This is a pool-based, part-time role open for future needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in software development or related field as appropriate to the program.
• Master’s degree with 18 semester hours or equivalent in software development or related field.
• Master’s degree with documentation in two or more of: certification, 2+ years in-field, teaching excellence, research/publication, or additional coursework.
• Bachelor’s degree in software development or related field with one or more of: professional certification, 2+ years in IT, research/publication, or additional coursework.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Prepare syllabus appropriate to course(s) taught.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time.
• Use Canvas and PowerPoint as appropriate.
• Notify department chair in emergencies.
