Job summary

Qualifications

• Earned master's degree (or higher) in a relevant field as appropriate to the program.
• Earned related or out-of-field master's with 18 sem hrs beyond introductory level in related field.
• Master's with two or more items: cert, 2+ years in-field, teaching excellence, research/publications, or 18 sem hrs of related coursework.
• Bachelor's degree with two+ items from list: cert, 2+ years in-field, teaching excellence, research/publications, or 18 sem hrs of related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes per college policy and course objectives.
• Develop/maintain outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students to foster positive learning experiences and apply active teaching strategies.
• Interact professionally with students and staff, complying with policies and guidelines.
• Know and implement safety procedures for classrooms and labs.

Education

Master's degree in software development, computer information systems, MIS, information technology, CS or related field

Master's degree with 18 semester hours beyond introductory level in related field

Bachelor's degree with two years of in-field professional employment

Bachelor's degree with two or more of: professional certification, teaching excellence, research/publications, additional coursework (18 sem hrs)
