Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Software Development to teach on a part-time basis in Indianapolis. You will deliver classes, leverage technology to enhance learning, and maintain grades within FERPA guidelines.

You will engage with students and implement strategies that maximize their learning outcomes. The role requires meeting program standards for teaching software development and contributing to a positive classroom environment that respects diverse

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in software development, computer information systems, MIS, information technology, computer science, or related field.
• Alternate: master's with 18 semester hours beyond introductory level in relevant field.
• Another route: master's with two+ of professional certs, 2 years in-field employment, teaching excellence, research/publication, or 18 semester hours above bachelor.
• Bachelor's degree in software-related field with professional certs, 2 years IT, research/publication, or 18 semester hours additional coursework.
• Out-of-field bachelor’s with two or more criteria (cert, 4 years IT, research/publication, 18 sem hours coursework).
• Must promote inclusive environment reflective of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to enhance instruction.
• Maintain student records, grades, and related requirements.
• Engage with students regularly to support learning outcomes.
