Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an adjunct faculty member for Computer Information Technology in Indianapolis. You will teach assigned courses part-time, preparing lessons and assessments within established syllabi and college policies.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures, using technology effectively, maintaining student records, and engaging students to promote learning outcomes while supporting inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in computer information systems, MIS, information technology, CS or related field; or a regionally accredited master’s with 18 sem hrs in a related IT/CS field.
• Bachelor’s degree plus documented evidence in two or more areas (certifications, experience, or teaching) as appropriate to the course.
• Two years of in-field professional experience and strong teaching/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes per course objectives and college policy.
• Leverage technology to enhance instruction.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students to foster a positive learning experience.

Education

Master’s degree or higher in computer information systems / MIS / IT / CS

Two years of in-field professional experience in the field

Evidence of teaching excellence / related coursework
