Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Family Enrichment Center Shelter in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a part-time Shelter Monitor for 19 hours per week. You will help maintain order, safety, and confidentiality for Harbor House residents, and enforce house policies under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year in social service or 2 years without diploma.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients to ensure safety and order on site and grounds.
• Enforce resident policies and procedures.
• Conduct intake interviews and explain policies to clients.
• Assign beds and provide bed linens as needed.
• Maintain Harbor House journal logs and client rosters.
• Record attendance at house meetings and perform hourly bed checks.
