Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is hiring a part-time cook/dietary aide for The Villas of Holly Brook- Marshall. The cook will collaborate with the Dining Services Manager on food orders, preparation, and delivery while maintaining sanitation and providing friendly service to residents and families.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 6 months in a food service role, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and state-regulated training.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dining Services Manager with food ordering, preparation, and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and manage supplies and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
