Job summary

Meridian Senior Living’s Villas of Holly Brook Marshall in Marshall, IL is hiring a part-time cook/dietary aide. In this role you will assist with the community’s food ordering, preparation, and delivery and ensure kitchen sanitation.

You will prepare nutritious meals and support dining services for residents. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of food service experience, teamwork, and a Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• As a Cook, you will manage the Community’s food ordering, preparation, and delivery as well as kitchen sanitation.
• Prepare meals in a nutritional and appetizing fashion and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
