Job summary

Simpson Meadows Senior Living is seeking a Part-time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a senior living setting. You will work closely with the culinary team to design menus that cater to dietary needs and preferences, while maintaining high food quality and safety.

You will modify recipes to meet restrictions, supervise kitchen operations, and collaborate with staff to deliver a warm dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma. 3 years of cooking experience in a similar environment.
• Serv Safe certification required.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents.
• Plan menus meeting dietary needs and preferences.
• Modify recipes for dietary restrictions (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, pureed).
• Manage kitchen operations, inventory, and safety practices.
• Collaborate with culinary team and train new staff.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure food quality.
