Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas is seeking a part-time Senior Center Assistant to greet participants, help with registration, and support daily operations at the Senior Center in Fayetteville. You will assist in planning fundraising events, processing donations, growing the volunteer program, and helping in the kitchen and office, all while following safety and privacy standards.

This role offers part-time hours in a busy office environment with opportunities to work with volunteers

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; must read/write/speak English.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; substitutions allowed with approval.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register daily participants at the welcome desk 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.; assist with check-ins.
• Assist Senior Center Director in planning and conducting special fundraising events.
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers to advertise events and obtain donations; manage donations records.
• Grow the volunteer program and track volunteers and hours; coordinate with RSVP and other agencies.
• Assist in kitchen duties as needed and answer office phones; help with taxi and meal route coordination.
