Job summary

The Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks And Recreation Department is actively recruiting Recreation Assistants to support operations at multiple recreation centers. You will assist full-time staff, help supervise activities, and ensure programs run smoothly for youth and community members.

Responsibilities include setting up materials, enforcing safety rules, handling receipts, answering public questions, and supporting after-school, arts, crafts, games, and sports programs.

Qualifications

• Help organize and supervise recreation programs at an assigned center.
• Enforce center safety rules and procedures.
• Prepare, set up and disassemble materials and equipment for activities.
• Receive payments and issue receipts for center use.
• Answer questions and provide information about programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee or assist with activities such as after school, dancing, arts and crafts, games and athletics.
• Assist with youth development programs including field trips, counselor in training, and junior programs.
• Support staff in executing programs and events across centers.
