Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant at our Harrison, AR location. The role involves assisting in meal preparation, serving, packaging for home delivery, and maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness.

On-site, hourly position with a focus on delivering quality meals to the community. Responsibilities include supporting the Food Service Manager, following menus, adhering to safety guidelines, and collaborating with staff to ensure timely meal

Qualifications

• Must have English literacy (speak, read, write, understand).
• Basic food preparation knowledge and safety awareness required.
• Ability to follow recipes and menu plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist Food Service Manager in meal preparation and serving.
• Help set up serving line and portion meals according to guidelines.
• Package meals for home delivery while maintaining temperature control and presentation.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining safety, health, and fire prevention standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
