Job summary

Allied Universal in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Patrol Route Driver to provide reliable, site-based security with flexible hours and opportunities to earn more by picking up extra shifts.

This role offers part-time hours on a fixed anchor shift with the option to take additional shifts across multiple sites, helping you grow toward a full-time security career while supporting tenants and employees.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with directing visitors, supporting crowd management during busy shopping periods, and maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
