Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Customer Support to serve residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by following site policies and security procedures. The role is based at the shelter location and utilizes our Claim a Shift platform to build a flexible schedule.

Day-to-day duties include patrolling the facility, monitoring entrances and logs, responding calmly to incidents, and communicating observations to site management.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screening per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, concerns, disturbances, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location to identify and report security concerns.
• Monitor access points and maintain accurate logs of incidents.
• Communicate observations and concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
