Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a transitional shelter in South Ozone Park, NY. You’ll provide courteous resident support, monitor entrances, and patrol to deter incidents while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and report observations per procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by procedures.
• Document incidents and daily activities and communicate with supervisors.
