Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a charitable facility in New York, NY. This part-time role provides flexible scheduling and the opportunity to serve residents, staff and visitors while maintaining a welcoming environment.

You will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete logs with accuracy. Pay is $17.25–$17.50 per hour, with opportunities to earn more through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks and drug screening are part of employment.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds or more may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of shelter buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications as required.
