Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a corporate building in New York, NY. You will monitor entrances, manage access control, conduct patrols, and deliver professional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Possess CPR certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Education

New York Security Guard License

High School Diploma
