Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Members-Only Facility in New York. The role offers flexible hours and a fixed shift with the option to pick up additional shifts. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with a schedule that includes day and night hours.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting members, guests, and visitors at the front desk, verifying access as required, and communicating site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry activity, visitor sign-ins, and access control systems to support a welcoming, professional environment and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Assist with front desk communications, including answering phones, directing visitors, and providing information while maintaining awareness of security-related activities.
