Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Responsibilities include front desk duties, access control, visitor screening, and incident response, while maintaining security and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following site-specific policies and security protocols.
• Monitor front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, and maintain records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow emergency procedures.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and comms, report unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain daily activity reports and communicate with site management.
