Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our New York, NY site. This role offers a fixed anchor shift with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, supporting a flexible path toward full-time hours up to 40 per week.

You will provide exceptional customer service, staff the front desk, verify access, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents, while maintaining a professional front desk presence at a commercial real estate location.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security‑related systems, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with property management and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence, provide directions and general building information, and support a welcoming environment for all occupants and guests.
