Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at a New York site. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

The position emphasizes front desk alarm oversight, customer service to tenants and visitors, access control, and incident response, with potential to grow toward full-time hours and career

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• State/municipal security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building management at a commercial real estate location.
• Greet visitors, verify access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, cameras, and security systems; report issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency procedures.
• Assist with access control, tenant inquiries, package/delivery coordination, and reception duties.
