Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Visitor Screening in New York, NY. The role offers reliable hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $22.05 to $23.05 per hour with a schedule of DayTime Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM. This position emphasizes customer service, front desk duties, and site procedures, with six-month anchor shift

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, provide directions and general building information, and support a welcoming environment for all occupants and guests.
