Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in New York, NY. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

The position pays $17.50–$18.50 per hour, with a schedule that includes daytime and evening shifts. Responsibilities include access control, visitor support, incident response, patrols, reporting, and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and tenants by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, member, and vendor activity; maintain awareness of authorized access requirements and report unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
