Allied Universal in Reading, PA is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable security coverage at a designated site. This role offers flexible hours, opportunities to pick up additional shifts, and a path toward full-time advancement with the industry leader.

The position emphasizes access-control and badge management, customer service, and the use of computers or tablets to support daily operations. The pay rate is $17.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and vendors, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting access-control issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in required reports.
• Maintain a professional presence and follow Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
