Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Montgomery, AL to provide dependable, flexible hours at an assigned site. This role offers the chance to earn additional shifts through our scheduling platform and grow toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

The position pays $16.30 per hour with anchor shifts and a program to claim extra shifts; responsibilities include access control, patrolling, emergency response and customer service for tenants, visitors,

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and property conditions; document observations, incidents, and irregularities in required reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by providing directions, supporting access control procedures, and communicating professionally with tenants, visitors, and site personnel.
