Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at an Atlanta, GA site. The role offers fixed shifts with anchor schedule and opportunities to pick up extra shifts. You will greet visitors, monitor access, perform security procedures, and respond to incidents. Pay rate is $20.06 per hour with potential to earn more through additional shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Alcohol drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records; receive and route calls, mail, packages, and other inquiries.
• Observe front desk activity and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following emergency procedures.
