Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer specialized in alarm event routing for our Framingham, MA location. The role involves coordinating alarm and access-control activity, dispatching personnel, and providing outstanding customer service to clients and store personnel.

You will monitor alarms, cameras, and calls, maintain logs, and respond to incidents with a calm, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor communications, alarms, cameras, and incoming calls; dispatch personnel and provide timely information to support response to incidents and service requests.
Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, documenting dispatch activity, unusual occurrences, and communications in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter, reporting observed conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
