Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer specialized in alarm event routing for our Framingham, MA location. The role involves coordinating alarm and access-control activity, dispatching personnel, and providing outstanding customer service to clients and store personnel.

You will monitor alarms, cameras, and calls, maintain logs, and respond to incidents with a calm, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor communications, alarms, cameras, and incoming calls; dispatch personnel and provide timely information to support response to incidents and service requests.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, documenting dispatch activity, unusual occurrences, and communications in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter, reporting observed conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
