Job description

Job Title: Seafood Associate (Part-Time)

This is a part-time position responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking seafood products according to Seafood Standards. The role includes cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. When assigned, perform duties of a meat clerk.

Essential Functions:

1. Process, package, and stock seafood products according to standards.
2. Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
3. Assist customers and provide excellent customer service.
4. Unload stock and reload salvage as needed.
5. Perform meat clerk duties when assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in training.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction with money and weight measurements.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
• Completion of company training (e.g., food safety, customer service, safety).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally, and perform other physical tasks as described.
• Ability to work in a cool, humid environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noise. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
