Job description

This is a part-time position with the primary responsibility of taking excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking produce products according to standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. When assigned, perform duties of floral clerk.

Qualifications and Skills

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in training to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or an equivalent combination.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and memos in English, and effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and associates.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions and handle problems involving a few variables.
• Certificates and Training: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work in a cool environment (55-60°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Occasionally exposed to cold and loud noise levels.
