This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking produce products according to standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. The role may also include duties of a floral clerk when assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English with customers, vendors, and associates.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction using units of money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow detailed instructions and handle standard problems.

Certifications and Physical Demands

Complete required training including orientation, food safety, customer service, and safety protocols. Must meet physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working in a cool, humid environment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes cool temperatures, exposure to humidity, moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and noise levels that are moderate to loud.
